はじめに

　皆さんは、Lexica を知っていますか？

　Lexica は、オープンソースの画像生成AIであるStable Diffusionを使って生成された画像を検索できるサービスとして始まりましたが、今では独自のAI アルゴリズムで高品質な画像を生成できるサービスを提供しています。

　ということで、今回は、この Lexica についてもう少し深堀して紹介しようと思います。

　この記事を読むと次の疑問について知ることができます。

Lexica とは？

　Lexica とは、アメリカ合衆国のサンフランシスコ在住のSharif Shameemと言う方が開発したようで、画像生成AIの「Stable Diffusion」で生成した画像の検索サイトとして公開されたサービスです。

　現在では、Lexica は、先に紹介したDALL・E2 、 Stable Diffusion 、Midjourney（ミッドジャーニー）、Leonard.Ai、Diffusion Art、DreamStudioと同様にテキストから画像を生成できるサービスもあります。

　Lexica の画像生成機能は、「Lexica Aperture」と言う「Stable Diffusion」を基にした写真風の生成モデルで、テキストから写真のようなリアルな画像を生成でき、Lexica Apertureの最新バージョンは、V3です。　

Lexica には有料版があるの？

　Lexicaは、、基本的に有料ですが、毎月100枚の画像生成までは無料で利用が可能です。

Lexica の使い方

Lexica の画像生成をするまで

　Lexicaのページに移動し、右上の「Get started」をクリック。

　Lexicaのログイン画面のが出ますので、「Continue with Google」又はE-mailを記入して「Continue」をクリックします。ここでは、「Continue with Google」をクリックすると、Googleのログイン画面が表示されますので、ここで使うGoogleのアカウント（名前とE-mailが記載）をクリック。

 

 

　以上により、Lexicaのホーム画面に移ります。ここから、上部メニューか下にある「Generate」をクリックすることにより、画像生成画面移行します。

Lexica の画像生成

　画像生成画面では、次の条件を指定して画像生成を行います。

  • 画像のサイズ　：　1152×768、1088×896、1024×1024、896×1088、768×1152の５つから選択
  • Model type :　Lexica Aperture V3、Lexica Aperture V2から選択
  • Guidance scale :　2～13、デフォルト7
  • Prompt　：　生成したい画像の内容を英語で記入（必須）
  • Negative Prompt　：　生成してほしくないものを英語で記入（必須でない）
  • Upload image :　Image to Imageで画像を生成したい場合に、元画像を読み込む

振袖を着た日本女性、ポートレイト

　上述の文言をBing AIチャットボットに入力して、詳細に書いてもらったプロンプトと生成した画像が変な画像にならないようにネガティブプロンプトも書いてもらった結果、および、画像生成の他の条件は次の通り。

  • Prompt
    A portrait of a beautiful Japanese woman wearing a furisode, a long-sleeved kimono. She has black hair styled in a traditional bun with a kanzashi ornament. Her furisode is colorful and has floral patterns. She is smiling softly and looking at the camera. The background is blurred but shows a Japanese garden with cherry blossoms.
  • Negative Prompt
    The woman's face is distorted or blurred. The furisode is torn or dirty. Hair is disheveled or cut off. The hairpin is broken or missing. Frowning or crying. Dark or noisy background. There are other people or objects in the portrait. Hands are strange or fingers of hands are strange.
  • 画像サイズ　：　768×1152
  • モデル　：　Lexica Aperture V2及びLexica Aperture V3
  • Guidance scale　:　7

　生成した画像は、次の通り。

　上述の画像を見比べると、明らかにLexica Aperture V3のモデルの方が人物の顔も背景も綺麗に生成しています。

　しかし、顔の様子は韓国系、中国系女性であり、日本女性ではないですね。

　このモデルは、日本女性を描くようなモデルではないようです。

色々な種類の画像の生成

　風景（阿蘇山と紅葉）、人物（美しい茶色のドレスを着た女性）、動物（ライオン）、架空の物（不死鳥）などを描いてもらいます。

　プロンプト以外の画像生成条件は以下の通り。

  • 画像サイズ　：　1024×1024
  • モデル　：　Lexica Aperture V3
  • Guidance scale　:　7

　上述で示した画像生成のプロンプトを、Bing AIチャットボットで英語で詳細に書いてもらいったら次の通り。

  • 風景（阿蘇山と紅葉）のプロンプト
    A scenic view of Mount Aso, an active volcano in Japan, surrounded by autumn foliage. The sky is clear and blue, and the sun is shining brightly. The mountain has a large caldera with a plume of smoke rising from it. The trees are colorful and contrast with the green grass and the brown soil. There are some houses and farms in the distance. The image is realistic and high-resolution.


    生成した画像は少しおかしいですね！同じような山が２つあったり、山の頂上に変なもの（噴煙を意味しているのかも）があったり、湖から煙が立ち上がったりしています。
    このような場合は、ネガティブプロンプトを適切に入れてやらないとチャンとした画像が生成されませんね！

  • 人物（美しい茶色のドレスを着た女性）のプロンプト
    A portrait of a woman wearing a beautiful brown dress. She has long curly hair and fair skin. Her dress is elegant and has lace details. She is holding a matching clutch bag and wearing a pearl necklace. She is smiling confidently and looking at the camera. The background is simple and light-colored. The image is photorealistic and high-quality.


    この生成した画像は、どれもよい画像です。

  • 動物（ライオン）のプロンプト
    A close-up of a lion’s face. The lion has a golden fur and a thick mane. Its eyes are amber and its nose is black. It is looking directly at the camera with a calm expression. The image is realistic and detailed. The background is blurred but shows a savanna landscape.


    この生成した画像は、どれもよい画像です。

  • 架空の物（不死鳥）のプロンプト
    A mythical bird of fire, the phoenix. The phoenix has a large body and wings covered with red, orange, and yellow feathers. Its tail is long and has flame-like tips. Its beak and claws are golden and sharp. It is flying in the sky with grace and power. The image is fantastical and vibrant. The background is dark but shows some stars and clouds.


    この生成した画像は、どれもよい画像です。

画風でどのように画像が変わるか？

　「花園でチョウチョと戯れている美しい少女」の画像が画風により、どのように変化するかを見てみましょう。

　写真風（photographic style）、イラスト風（illustration style）、アニメ風（anime style）、水彩画風（watercolor style）を、作成するプロンプトにそれぞれ付け加えます。

　画像生成条件は次の通り。

  • 「花園でチョウチョと戯れている美しい少女」のプロンプト
    A beautiful girl playing with butterflies in a flower garden. The girl has long blonde hair and blue eyes. She is wearing a white dress and a straw hat. She is holding a butterfly net and smiling happily. The butterflies are colorful and have different patterns. The garden is full of flowers of various kinds and colors. The image is bright and cheerful. The background is clear and shows a blue sky.
  • 画像サイズ　：　1152×768
  • モデル　：　Lexica Aperture V3
  • Guidance scale　:　7

　画風的には、写真風（photographic style）と水彩画風（watercolor style）ではあまり違いがみられないが、イラスト風（illustration style）、アニメ風（anime style）にすると、かなり画風が変化することが分かります。

Upload image によるImage to image

　画像生成画面から右上の「Upload image」をクリックして、自分のパソコンから画像を読み込み、Image to imageを試してみました。

　画像生成条件

  • Prompt

　画風は違いますが、似た画像を生成できています。

Outpaintingの機能

　生成した画像の上にカーソルを持っていくと、上に「OutPainting」と表示されるので、それをクリックすると、画像が生成され、外側の画像が少し生成されます。画像の大きさは、元の画像の大きさです。

Lexica の評判

　Lexica につてい、Twitterでのツイートを調べてみました。

　検索ワードは「Lexica」で検索して、「話題のツイート」から２つほど載せます。

　上述のように、日本人の書き込みはほとんど見られず、外国の方の書き込みのみでした。

　今は、色々な画像生成AIが出てきていることもあり、日本の方の利用が少ないのかもしれません。

Lexica を使った感想

　Lexica は、テキストを入力するだけで、それに沿った画像を簡単に生成してくれる画像生成AIのサービスの１つです。

　Lexica を使った感想を以下に挙げます。

  • 画像生成の速度が比較的速く生成され、ストレスなく試行錯誤が可能なこと。
  • 写真風の画像を生成するには結構綺麗に生成できること
  • 画像生成のパラメーターが少なく、その分初心者にはやり易いだろうと感じたこと
  • 半面、専門的に画像生成をする方にとっては、モデルも少なく、調整の幅が少ないので物足りないと感じること
  • 無料でも100枚生成できるので、画像生成AIを試すのには十分な量であると感じたこと。
